Eucharist
Bishop Robert Barron
The Catechism of the Catholic Church calls the Eucharist the “source and summit of the Christian life (CCC 1324).” It is both the height of the Christian experience, to receive Jesus in His Eucharistic form, and the ground upon which the Christian faith is laid. And yet, many Catholics today do not believe, or perhaps have forgotten, this core tenant of our faith. Either way, it is the job of the entire Church, clergy, religious, and laity to evangelize again our brothers and sisters who have lost sight of the truth of the Eucharist. In his book, Bishop Robert Barron aims to do just that: rekindle in us a deeper understanding of, appreciation for, and devotion to our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament.
